Letter to Heaven

Every letter I write is a sweet-sour reminder of our unbreakable bond. It gives me a sense of closeness that goes beyond her being gone. Some might think it’s a bit odd, but for me, it’s a beautiful way to honor her memory and deal with the ups and downs of grief.

When I share these letters with friends and family, it really helps me feel understood. They get how deep my loss goes and how much my mom’s absence still affects me. Writing to heaven has become my way of keeping her spirit alive and finding comfort in my grief.

Sure, writing a letter to someone who’s passed might sound strange to some, but for a lot of us, it’s a way to process grief and show love. For me, writing to my amazing mum in heaven, who feels like my imaginary best friend, has been such a relief. Even if she never reads these words, just writing them makes me feel better and lets me express how much I love her.

Every day without my mom feels like a huge loss. I miss hearing her voice, feeling her hugs, and just being with her. Writing this letter is tough; I really want to tell her how much I miss her and how empty things feel without her. She was the best mom ever, truly a gift from above.

Her sudden passing made me question why things had to be so unfair. Why her? Why am I stuck figuring life out without her guidance? Even though she always believed everything happens for a reason, I struggled to see why she had to suffer and leave us so soon.

It took me a while to accept her loss and realize that life keeps going, even with that big hole in my heart. I wrestled with the idea of moving on. A good friend’s take on finding joy even when you’re grieving really hit home for me.

Thinking about blaming my mom for missing out on my life’s milestones was a big wake-up call. I couldn’t bear the thought feeling bad for me moving forward. I realized that honoring her meant cherishing our love and allowing myself to enjoy life, even without her around.

Even though the pain of her loss still stings, I find comfort in believing that she and my loved ones in heaven are together now, free from pain. I hold onto her belief that everything happens for a reason, piecing together the sad and happy moments to create a full picture of her everlasting love and influence in my life.

As I write this letter to my sweet mom in heaven, I feel a mix of sadness and gratitude. The memories we created, the bond we had, and the love we shared will always be treasured in my heart. Even with the tears, there’s a spark of appreciation and a promise to live in a way that honors her legacy.

Until the day we meet again, I carry her spirit with me, finding strength in her love to tackle life’s ups and downs. My mom’s memory will always guide me, reminding me to face each day with courage, gratitude, and endless love.
